English cast brass Queen Anne candlestick, 1740-50

About the Item

Cast brass Queen Anne candlestick with urn form candle cup with circular bobeshe, supported by a baluster with a four sided knob above ring and knob turnings peened to a raised square base with cove cut corners. The shaft has been cast in two parts and silver soldered together before being peened to the base. Birmingham, England, circa 1740-50.
