English Georgian cast brass Queen Anne candlestick, c. 1750

About the Item

English Georgian cast brass Queen Anne candlestick. The candlestick shaft has a knob directly under the candle cup with a scolloped bobeshe. The candle cup sits above a slightly tapered cylindrical shaft which is peened to a domed base with scolloped edge mirroring the scollop edge of the bobeshe. The candlestick is fitted with a rare internal screw ejector mechanism. Birmingham, England, circa 1750.
