Very large, elegant, leaf motif candleholder from the Jay Strongwater "Jewels for the Home" collection has exquisite subtle coloration and holds one candle. handmade and hand painted cast metal candleholder features verdant polychrome enamel work and both glossy and contrasting matte finishes on the long, ruffled leaves.
Hallmarked on the bottom of the lowest large leaf with "Jay Strongwater" copyrighted logo.
Genuine estate candleholder was never used. Made in the USA.
Measures approximately 19" high x 13.5" wide x 6.75" deep. Diameter of candleholder openings is approximately .8".
Weighs approximately 10 pounds.
Jay Strongwater is known for high fashion home furnishings and jewelry that is elegant and vividly bejeweled. His career began while he was still a student at the Rhode Island School of Design. At age 23, he met Oscar De La Renta and began to collaborate with de la Renta on jewelry designs for runway shows. By 1998, Strongwater's "Jewels for the Home Collection" supplanted his fashion business. Jay Strongwater is sold at Neiman Marcus and found in the collections of some of the most beautiful homes in the world.
