About the Item
"Chanel Tentacle Candelabra", is a unique collaborative piece as part of PJ Linden's "Puff Puff Past" collection. This piece features PJ Linden's signature textural abstract design with dimensional acrylic paint applied to the candlestick octopus tentacle base, handcrafted by Adam Wallacavage. This candle holder is made of acrylic, dimensional paint, epoxy clay, and lamp parts and measures 10.5”h x 6”w 8”d.
About PJ Linden:
Born 1985 Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. PJ Linden is a New York City and Pennsylvania-based fine artist known for her abstract, three-dimensional work. She paints with machine-like precision, creating microscopic patterns on found objects, fashion, and technology. Linden got her start working with Patricia Field, creating custom, one-of-a-kind art and fashion under the name Wonderpuss Octopus. At Field's iconic, namesake boutique, Linden's work caught the eye of celebrity clients including Beyonce, Willow Smith, Kelly Osborne, and Solange Knowles. Linden has since collaborated with and created pieces for Miley Cyrus, KidRobot, Norma Kamali, The CFDA, Alife, Sharon Needles, Pearl Liaison, Samsung, and Swarovski. Her work has been featured in The New York Times, New York Magazine, Marie Claire Italia, Culture Magazine, Plastik Magazine PAPER Magazine. She has shown alongside art heavyweights such as Andy Warhol, Shepard Fairey, and Kenny Scharf, and has exhibited at The Hole Gallery, The Bridgette Mayer Gallery, Paradigm Gallery + Studio, Reverse Space, Superchief Gallery, Art Basel Miami, The Museum of Sex, and The Museum of Ice Cream. She continues to work as an international muralist and is the resident artist for The House of Yes.
About Adam Wallacavage:
I am a Philadelphia-based artist working in a variety of mediums. My more popular Octopus Chandeliers are all handmade by me in my house/studio. I create the chandeliers by framing out a piece by hand bending steel tubing, then sculpting over them with epoxy clay. The finish is a mixture of epoxy resins, paints, and powders giving them a vast variety of textures but mostly a glass or ceramic look. The sculptures are both strong and lightweight.
The piece is an exclusive collaboration sculpture only available through Paradigm Gallery.
