Hallmarked in London in 1795 by John Scofield, this stunning pair of George III period, Antique Sterling Silver Candlesticks, are fine examples of the neoclassical form, with a thick gadroon border around the base and removable nozzle, and a sleek plain column. Each candlestick measures 10.75 inches (27.5cm) tall, by 5"(12.5cm) wide and deep, and the pair together weigh 39.3 troy ounces. The candlesticks are engraved with a crest to one side and an heraldic shield to the other side.
