Late 19th Century Mahogany & Brass Candlesticks

About the Item

A Good Quality And Attractive Late 19th Century Pair Of Mahogany And Brass Candlesticks, In The 18th Century Georgian Style, Having Charming Foliate Cast Brass Nozzles Over Elegant Fluted, Turned Shafts, With Twisted Carving To Bottom Raised On Circular Moulded Bases. This is a design of candlestick which was popularised during 18th century georgian times and then much copied throughout the §8th, 19th and even 20th centuries. These examples date to the late 19th century and remain in excellent condition, clearly they have been well loved and well looked after throughout the many years of their lives. As you can see from the images they can still be taken apart which makes them even easier to clean and maintain. Very much fit for their original purpose we can highly recommend these candlesticks from both a decorative and functional perspective and think they will look fabulous no matter where they are placed in the home, nor what they are placed on.
