About the Item

Pair of 19th C. Italian Baroque style candlesticks that feature eleborate scrollwork, floral motifs, and a multi-tiered structure. Each candlestick has a wide, decorative base with curved feet and intricate carvings that support a tall, sculpted column leading to the candle holder at the top, The holders are designed to accommodate wide candles, with a fluted and slightly aged finish that adds character to the candlesticks. The finish is a combination of remnants of gold leaf and paint throughout.
