Pair of French 19th Century Louis XIV St. Marble and Ormolu Candlesticks
About the Item
A striking pair of French 19th century Louis XIV st. black Belgian marble and ormolu candlesticks. Each candlestick is raised by a unique and most elegant black Belgian marble base with a most decorative scalloped design below a mottled wrap around band with fine foliate designs. The striking central fut displays a triangular shape with superb lattice and foliate designs and geometric designs at the candle cup all in a stunning satin and burnished finish. All original gilt throughout.
