A Pair of French Brass Candleholders, c. 1900
About the Item
This simple and elegant set of candleholders was found in the south of France, near Avignon. The surface patina, once polished, has grown muted and flat due to exposure and use. The candle socket can accept wax candles up to 3" in diameter, held in place by a large pricket. The candleholders can be left in their original state, cleaned and polished or even lacquered to prevent future oxidization.
