About the Item
Add an air of elegance to your home with this exquisite pair of antique candlesticks. Hand-carved in Italy circa 1880, each candle holder stands on round feet over a sturdy triangular base decorated with floral and foliate motifs. The sculpted stem is richly adorned with acanthus leaf carvings and topped with a circular candle cup. Both pieces retain their original two-tone polychrome and beige painted finish, showing a beautifully aged patina.
Versatile and decorative, these detailed candle stands could be displayed on a console, buffet, or mantel, or easily converted into table lamps for added function. Excellent condition commensurate with age and use.
