About the Item

A pair of sculptural candlesticks probably made in Italy between the 60s and 70s. The irregular texture created like a bas-relief by small and irregular signs engraved in the surface, recalls the work of the artist Arnaldo Pomodoro and creates splendid light effects thanks also to the reflection of the metals used. The patina of time and the colors that have come to the surface thanks to the oxidation of the metals, such as green of the copper and the brown color of the brass, create a splendid chromatic range that makes the surface even more special. These Brutalist Candlestick are in original vintage condition, a cleaning and a light polishing was carried out in order not to alter the patina of time.
