An exceptional, fine and impressive, rare antique Victorian English sterling silver combination chamber candlestick and cigar cutter; an addition to our Victorian silver candlestick/candelabra collection. This fine antique Victorian sterling silver chamberstick/candle holder has a plain square rounded form. The well is plain and unembellished, encompassed with a plain elevated border. The plain cylindrical capital retains the original detachable hallmarked sconce, accented with a plain applied elevated border. The plain cylindrical column is embellished with a contemporary bright cut engraved crest of a heart surmounted with a coronet, all above the motto/proprietary name 'Cœur de Roy'. The impressive and rare example of Victorian silverware incorporates a cylindrical cigar cutter; this operates with a sprung, push fit catch to the upper portion. The chamberstick is supported by four plain bun style feet.
