Rare Pair of Art Deco Sterling Silver and Blue Guilloche Enamel Candlesticks

About the Item

Rare pair of Art Deco, sterling silver and blue guilloche enamel candlesticks, Birmingham, England, year-hallmarked for 1927, A.L. Davenport - maker. The center of each four-sided column of each of the candlesticks is a lovely shade of blue guilloche enamel. Underside of the base of each column is wood. Each candlestick measures 6 1/4 inches high x a little under 3 inches diameter at widest point. Pair is weighted. Enamel is in excellent antique condition. There are some minor dings to the silver that are commensurate with age and use. There is also a slight twist to the silver under the candle cup of each candlestick (see photos) that does not affect the appearance of the candlesticks. These conditions are mentioned for the sake of accuracy and are commensurate with age and use. The dark areas in photos on sterling silver are reflections. In good antique condition.
