About the Item
Former Soviet era (1970s) candle holder…artist-titled ‘Good Night’ with original label to base in Russian. Nice hand feel and weight on copper-finished form.
The feminine figure displays a peaceful, graceful stance and expression. We sense an Art Deco sensibility and influence to this sculptural piece which would look equally lovely on a nightstand, coffee table, or shelving.
It looks wonderful mixed into a collection of sterling silver, stone and mixed metals, or simply on a stack of beautiful books, in a more spare, Minimalist environment.
