Set of 4 George III Silver Candlesticks, 1800

About the Item

Four antique silver candlesticks in the Classic style of the late 18th century. The raised circular bases upon which the fine tapering stems are mounted, and candle holders are decorated with laurel leaves. The candlesticks and detachable nozzles have gadroon pattern borders. These are taller than most candlesticks of the period, and a more unusual design. Each features a family crest which we believe to belong to the Denman or Dunsterville families, Hewetson, Sturton or Garret.
