About the Item

Beautiful old set of two large 18th century French polychromed candlesticks. Multiple layers of bois doré or gold paint were supposed to make the wood look very chique, and it did. Look how they aged. Ideal to burn rustic block candles on. Beautiful coloured and decorative patina with all 250 years showing. (Max candle Ø size is 8cm or 3.14")
