A fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver chamber candlestick in the George I style; an addition to our Victorian silver candlestick or candelabra collection. This fine antique Victorian sterling silver Chamberstick (chamber candlestick) has a plain circular form in the George I style. The well is plain and unembellished, encompassed with a plain elevated border. The plain cylindrical capital retains the original detachable hallmarked sconce ornamented with a plain applied moulded border. This antique chamberstick is fitted with a stylized Trefid pattern handle, embellished with two contemporary bright cut engraved crests of a squirrel sejant eating a nut to the right of an elephant and castle. A magnificent, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver serving dish with cover made by Robert Garrard II; an addition to dining silverware collection This magnificent antique Victorian sterling silver dish has a rounded hexagonal form. The body of the serving dish is plain and embellished with a contemporary bright cut engraved crest of on a cap of maintenance turned up a lion passant*. The plain body is encompassed with a cast and applied rosette border to the rim, accented with a leaf decorated corner pieces. The dish is fitted with an impressive domed hexagonal cover, embellished with chased interlacing foliate and trellis designs, all on a matte background to the rounded sides. The upper portion of the domed cover is ornamented with further chased foliate decoration, accented with a paralleling scalloped border. The cover is surmounted with a magnificent cast hallmarkedsterling silver finial realistically modelled in the form of the aforementioned crest; a cap of maintenance turned up a lion passant.
