About the Item

a Set of 5 Piece GLASS OBJECTS, Monica Bratt, Ruby Red Candle Holder / Jug Reimyre, Elme Gift Set Including two candle holders, a jug, a bowl, and a glass in ruby red colour by Monica Bratt, who came to Reijmyre Glasbruk in 1937 and was given the confidence to build an entirely new collection on her own. Bratt wanted to make an effort for the utility glass and was driven by a desire to make, as she put it, "more beautiful everyday products". With Reijmyre's skilled glassblowers, Monica Bratt gave the mill new life. Her artistic efforts brought Reijmyre Glasbruk to a leading position among Swedish glassworks. During the more than 20 years that Monica worked at the mill, she designed many products, some of which were manufactured right into the 1990s. She worked a lot with colour, and the ruby red glass became a hallmark for her. Many products designed by Monica Bratt are collector's items. In a beautifully excellent condition, with minor normal scratches.
