20th Century Swiss Solid Silver & Guilloche Enamel Travel Clock, c.1900

About the Item

Antique early 20th century swiss solid silver and guilloché enamel travel clock or boudoir clock, in neoclassical taste, of upright rectangular form with inverted arched top and standing on a raised grey agate plinth, applied with a translucent light blue enamel over engine-turned ground and acanthus leaf boarders, corners and sides hand painted with rose flowers, the large front plaque hand painted with a view of the Swiss alps, the white enamel dial within a bound plain bezel, the back with a flip down lid and a winding key and reeded time-adjuster, it comes in its original leather bound box. Hallmarked Swiss silver (935 standard), circa 1900, Swiss, Geneve, inventory number 58778, probably made by the GENEVA CLOCK CO. Condition In Excellent Condition - No Damage. Size Height: 18cm Width: 10 x 5.5cm Weight: 1085g.
