About the Item
A majestic presentation compendium comprising a Chopard Imperiale travelling alarm clock and a Chopard pen, late 20th Century in date.
The clock is made of 18kt rose gold plated steel with silvered dial and Roman numerals alongside Superluminova-coated baton hands with three violet amethyst cabochons and a fold out stand. This beautiful Swiss made clock will make a memorable gift to suit any occasion.
Complete with a Chopard ballpoint pen with gilt screw cap and Chopard signature all housed in the maker’s presentation fitted case with original instructions.
This was almost certainly well stored and never used, so it is in excellent condition.

This truly unique travel alarm clock is still fitted with its original leather box. The original case is done in gilded brass and it still has the original finish on it. The gilding was called Mercury Fire Gilding and was done using real mercury. In my 20's I actually traveled with this little jewel and used it as my alarm clock. It is really dependable and keeps dependable time. The entire clock and case are hand made in Switzerland about 170 years ago. It is remarkable that this clock can still be used.
