French Carraige Clock with Champleve Decoration

About the Item

French brass cased carriage clock with bevelled glass, fluted pillars and decorative fretwork to all three sides and to the back of the case, surmounted by a fluted and reeded carrying handle. Fine Champleve enamel decoration to the dial mask, enamel dial with Roman numerals and original ‘blued’ steel hands. Eight day French timepiece movement with platform escapement. C.1890
