Juvenia 1925 Travel Pendant Desk Clock In Sterling Silver With Guilloche Enamel

Travel and pendant clock designed by Juvenia. Beautiful foldable travel clock, manufactured in Switzerland by the Juvenia company back in the 1925. This clock can be fully displayed in a table or wear in a chain as a pendant. It was carefully crafted with art deco geometric patterns in solid silver .925/.999 and embellished with applications of royal blue enamel over guilloche surface. Completely foldable and fitted with a movable decorative handle with a push button as a security lock. This antique travel watch is quite unique in its design. It is not only a travel clock, but a watch pendant as well. The combination of the two is hard to come by. This art deco, velise-like watch dates to the middle of the 1920's Movement: Juvenia Swiss mechanical hand winding movement Dial: Rectangular silver dial, golden arabic numbers and blued iron hands. Square quadrant for the seconds. Signed Juvenia Fab Suisse. Weight: 63.9 Grams, (40.96 Dwt). Measurements: Close is 49 mm by 33 mm by 13 mm (1.93 x 1.30 x 0.51 Inches). Fully open is 49 mm by 33 mm by 40 mm (1.93 x 1.30 x 1.57 Inches). Hallmarks: All parts in the case are stamped with Swiss marks: The standing bear mark for the assay and warranty of the silver. the maker's mark, the serial numbers and signed, "JUVENIA MFG SWISS.925 STERLING SILVER FAB. SUISSE ARGENT DORE 46344". Juvenia is a luxury Swiss watch manufacturer located in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. It is one of the few Swiss watch companies to have manufactured watches without interruption since its creation. The brand is currently owned by Hong Kong group Asia Commercial Holdings Ltd. Juvenia was founded in 1860 by Jacques Didisheim-Goldschmidt in Saint-Imier, Switzerland. Shortly after he relocated to La Chaux-de-Fonds, expecting better opportunities. Jacques' son, Bernard, later succeeded his father. In the 1880s, Juvenia produced one of the first ladies wristwatches. In 1914, Juvenia manufactured, at the time, the smallest movement constructed on a single level. Juvenia is known for its extraordinary, avant-garde, case designs, unusual time indications and architectural inspiration Note: Guilloché is used in fine jewelry to enhance the appearance of brooches, rings and pendants. Guilloché enamel refers to metal pieces that have been given the Guilloché treatment and then covered with a translucent layer of enamel, giving the geometric patterns underneath the enamel a colorful hue. Collateral: It is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box. Condition: The overall condition of this piece is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the silver..
