About the Item
Particularly decorative pocket watch holder, made of hand-carved oak wood, manufactured around 1880 in Germany, probably in the Black Forest region.
An exceptionally charming watch holder designed in the shape of a sailing ship. The carver has crafted a boat with its bow in the water (small waves are visible) and a curved, Rococo-style sail with perforations and a charming finish with a hook for hanging a pocket watch.
The high quality, the use of oak wood and the imaginative design speak for the production in the Black Forest region in Germany.
