About the Item

Particularly decorative pocket watch holder, made of hand-carved oak wood, manufactured around 1880 in Germany, probably in the Black Forest region. An exceptionally charming watch holder designed in the shape of a sailing ship. The carver has crafted a boat with its bow in the water (small waves are visible) and a curved, Rococo-style sail with perforations and a charming finish with a hook for hanging a pocket watch. The high quality, the use of oak wood and the imaginative design speak for the production in the Black Forest region in Germany. Measurements approx.: height 9,25 in - 23,5 cm, width 9,06 in - 23 cm, depth 3,14 in - 8 cm A particularly beautiful way to display and store your pocket watch. Whether on your desk or in a display case, it's always an eye-catcher.
