Swiss Brass Carriage Clock with Original Travel Case, circa 1910
A well-proportioned brass carriage clock dating to the early 20th century, complete with its original silk- and velvet-lined travel case and winding key.
The rectangular brass case features bevelled glass panels to all sides and a shaped folding handle. The white enamel dial is set with Roman numerals and blued steel hands. A bevelled oval viewing panel to the top reveals the escapement in motion. The movement is stamped Made in Switzerland and remains in working order.
The case shows minor wear and surface tarnish commensurate with age. The original travel case is worn but intact, with expected signs of age to the fabric exterior and interior lining. The clock retains a period key.
