This exquisite antique longcase clock embodies the opulence of French design in the Louis XV style. Crafted in 1889 from rich walnut with intricate foliate and gilt details, it is a true masterpiece of decorative collectibles. The clock features a beautiful brown and dark wood tone color, adding to its timeless elegance. The clock is a perfect addition to any collection of desk, mantel, and shelf clocks. Its year of manufacture falls within the 1850-1899 time period, and it boasts a stunning finish. The clock is branded as an antique and is sure to be a treasured item for years to come. French Louis XV style longcase clock, late 19th c., gilt metal dial surround with Apollo mask, enamel Roman numeral hours and Arabic numeral minutes, time-and-strike movement striking on bell above, housed in walnut case signed PEL Ebeniste Sculpteur 1889, arched molded cornice, carved foliate scroll and shell motifs, on cabriole legs headed by acanthus, approx 108"h, 26.5"w, 13"d Wear and imperfections commensurate with being moved, age and use.
