Original Blue Painted Swedish Mora Grandfather Clock, circa 1800-20
About the Item
Hand painted Swedish Mora grandfather clock with original soft blue painted finish distressed through years of use with pine wood revealed below.
Note the gentle curves in the base and elongated body.
Original old clock face and glass. Clock works do not function; hands missing. If buyer chooses to install a battery function, new hands are typically needed regardless.
Wood longcase is restored, strong and stable. Any cracks, nicks, separation, scratches etc. are reflective of generations of use and do not impact function. Paint color along face and sides of face have a seafoam/green tone vs the blue seen in the body.
