Message us now and we will explain how this works. decorative C. 1815 antique Swedish mora clock with fine hand painted folk art detail with a stunning bird on the body and 1815 on the inside of the door , initials inside the body and carved detailing on the hood in a deep blue black paint finish with a rare black gold roman numeral face. Measures: 230cm. This original 1800s mora clock has a nice face with a clean patina. The clock body is distressed as befits its age and has the usual wood movement found in clocks of this age. The clock is sold 'as is' : as a decorative piece only with the original mechanism and pendulum but not guaranteed to be in working order - If you want it working we can fit a professional hi torque battery mechanism for time keeping ( +£250) or you can have a great sounding chiming mech which replays the recorded chime through a small speaker with a volume control and 8 hour night off switch (+£350) The mech change takes approximate 2-3 weeks. please note - wood is a live substance and may change shape when it moves to a new environment with a different median temperature and humidity after shipping. This may cause splits to occur in panels after the clock has grown accustomed to its new home

    Repaired: this clock has probably been repaired and the paint retouched at some point in its long life as is common with clocks of this age - it may have some missing enamel on the facing and some enamel lifting may be present. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Minor structural damages. Minor fading. Clock is structurally sound and features the typical paint distressing and wood movement common to this age of mora clock. it will be checked over by our restorer prior to shipping for stability.
