Swedish Antique Mora Clock Folk Art Paint 1800s 230cm C Palmlöf Sala

About the Item

230cm rare early 1800s antique Swedish mora clock with carved detail in a folk art finish and detailed face with the makers name C Palmlöf of Sala marked on it and hand painted detailing. Measures: 230cm. The clock body is distressed as befits its age and has the usual wood movement found in clocks of this age. The clock is sold 'as is' : as a decorative piece only with the original mechanism and pendulum but not guaranteed to be in working order - If you want it working we can fit a professional hi torque battery mechanism for time keeping ( +£250) or you can have a great sounding chiming mech which replays the recorded chime through a small speaker with a volume control and 8 hour night off switch (+£350) or you can choose to have you local clockman clean / repair and set up the original clockwork mechanism at your location to get it going The battery mech change if you choose that option takes approximate 2-3 weeks. The clock is currently on route to us from sweden so shipping to your location may be delayed until it arrives and is checked over.

Minor structural damages. Minor fading. Clock is structurally sound and features the typical paint distressing and wood movement common to this age of mora clock. it will be checked over by our restorer prior to shipping for stability.
