19th century Mantelclock by 'Martinot a Paris'

About the Item

This is a very nice and highly decorative 19th-century mantel clock featuring an elephant carrying the clock on its back with its trunk facing upwards, which is considered a sign of good luck. The clock is in lovely, untouched condition and has a great patina. The name "Martinot a Paris" is displayed on the dial, indicating that it was made circa 1880.
