About the Item

A monumental Louis XVI style ormolu mounted and rouge marble rotary mantel clock. A stunning monumental Louis XVI style gilt bronze mounted and rouge marble rotary mantel clock in the manner of Jean-André and Jean-baptiste Lepaute. The urn embellish with serpent handles, a putto with arrow pointing at the time, raised on a large square base with gilded frieze, standing on an ormolu-mounted marble pedestal as a Corinthian column. Dimensions H 34.50 in. x W 12 in. x D 11 in. H 87.63 cm x W 30.48 cm x D 27.94 cm.
