19th Century Napoleon III Gilt Bronze Clock in Rocaille Style

About the Item

Small gilt bronze clock in Rocaille style, richly decorated with foliages, shells and foliated scrolls. The white enameled dial, with Roman numerals for hours and Arabic for minutes, is topped by a Cupid seating on a shell, working at a garland of flowers which falls down against the dial, circa 1860. Measure: W 11.8 in, D 6.3 in, H 15.7in. L 30 cm, P 16 cm, H 40 cm.
