About the Item
A mantel clock crafted from gilt and gilded brass (also known as ormolu) and red griotte marble in the eclectic style popular during the Napoleon III period.

The pedestal case is decorated with classical ormolu brackets, including a rectangular relief below the dial and a series of hanging garlands set in grooves.
