19th Century Three-Piece Clock Garniture Set, Gilt Bronze and Patinated Bronze

About the Item

Magnificent midcentury French three-piece gilt bronze Ormolu garniture set. The set consists of a clock and two Six-light candelabrum in the Louis XV style with floral and Grape festoons which intertwine with playful putti in A patinated bronze. The face of the clock contains blue Enamel Roman numerals on a Blanc de Chine porcelain ground. Two birds sit on the crest of the candelabrum. Provenance: The Beverly Hills home of the actress Ann Southern.
