19th Century, Zinc Clock Trade Sign

About the Item

One of the most exceptional trade signs that still exists is highly decorated with early, original paint and gold leaf. A rare small size, American circa 1860. H 20", in excellent crisp condition. This clock trade sign was for a very high end clocks, watches and jewelry store. Made of zinc, the clock face is decorated with Roman numerals, a smaller subsidiary seconds dial sits in the lower half of the main dial. Clock can be placed on a custom made rectangular metal stand which we can make for you. Use this to decorate any home beautifully, a great interior display hung in a hallway, against a wall, place on a stand or table.
