Antique E. Ingraham & Co. Candy Stripe Inlay Mantel Clock 1871

About the Item

An antique mantel clock by E. Ingraham & Co. with candy stripe inlay, spring driven movement, brass pendulum and key. The clock is patented June 6th, 1871. The door opens to reveal the movement with paper backing. The clock with two conjoined windows, one with view of the Roman numeral faced clock and the other with reverse painted gilt perched bird on black glass. The two spheres are flanked by carved rosettes. A small latch to the left secures the door. All raised on a plinth base. Dimensions: 9" W, 4" D and 15 3/4" H Condition: Please see detail photos. The working condition is unknown, however, the strike movement works on the hour when tested manually. Chip to veneer front left corner, dents to brass pendulum, wear to wood at latch, wear to inside of door mentioned for accuracy as the presentation is quite fine.
