Antique ENGLISH "BRACKET" pendulum clock Victorian era, chime hours and quarter gongs

About the Item

ENGLISH "BRACKET" CLOCK Mahogany veneered case with gilt bronze decorations, friezes, pinnacles, handles and feet. Dial: gilt brass display with pierced and engraved friezes in gilt bronze at corners. Silver-plated brass disc for hours with black Roman numerals and minutes from five to five. Above the 12th auxiliary quadrant for setting the "avance-retarde." Blue steel hands. Three charging holes. Brass movement with chime of hours and quarters on "gong" on passage and on demand by the lanyard on the left side of the clock. Epoch Victorian, circa 1880. Signed on the movement "W & H Sch." Dimensions: cm 50 (height), cm 29 (width), cm 22 (depth).
