Antique French Mantel Clock in Gilt Brass & Marble, 19th century Eclecticism

About the Item

Ornate mantel clock in ormolu gilt brass upon a marble base. Extensive details: guarding eagles, center code of arms, Roman numerals, partially pierced and engraved hands upon a star or sun center-disc, floral ornament etc. Its European and was probably made in France circa 1850-1900 in an eclectic/Historicism style with several Rococo elements. Please note: it is missing its key and has no been tested. So a watchmaker service is recommendable. Measurements: H: 46 cm, W: 30/26 cm (base/ornament), Dept: 16 cm (base).
