Art deco clock circa 1920 in wrought iron with floral decoration of very beautiful manufacture. Stamped Fag for Ferronnerie D'art des Galleries (Galeries Laffayette) directed by Marcel Vasseur. Marble base. In perfect condition. The movement works but has not been serviced. Height: 29cm Width: 40cm Depth: 14cm Weight: 10 Kg The Galeries Lafayette department store on Boulevard Haussmann in Paris was inaugurated in October 1912. Soon, it became the second most visited monument in Paris, after the Eiffel Tower. In 1922, the Galeries Lafayette department store opened the "La Maîtrise" applied art studios run by the decorator Maurice Dufrêne, who became its artistic director.
