About the Item
Liberty & Co., London. An Arts and Crafts mahogany mantle clock with stylised floral inlay to the front panel. The case has a gently domed top and sweeping architectural form, design elements that strongly recall the influence of C. F. A. Voysey.
The clock face is set within a brass bezel and glazed door, with a white enamel dial and Roman numerals. The mahogany case is enhanced with contrasting inlaid panels of stylised flowers and foliage, characteristic of Liberty’s refined Arts and Crafts aesthetic.
