Bronze Mantel Clock, Restauration Period France, Movement Dated 1827
About the Item
The large pendulum on a Sienese marble base with patinated bronze frieze as well as large fully sculpted depiction of a bearded man with the index finger at his temple. The other hand rests loosely on the pommel of a sword. The movement is inscribed "Medaille d'Or, Pons 1827".
