About the Item

Superb Napoleon III period fireplace trim. It consists of an imposing clock in gilded and patinated bronze with a sea green marble base representing the goddess of the hunt, Diana the Huntress. She is standing on a chariot pulled by two deer. The marble is inlaid with chased bronze scenes on the theme of hunting and rests on claw feet. This clock is accompanied by its two gilded bronze candelabra. The set dates from the 19th century, is in very good condition, complete and of high quality. Dimensions - Clock : H 47cm x W 57cm x D 15cm Base: marble only H 10.5cm Claw feet: H 3.5cm - Candelabra: H 49cm
