French 19 th c. Bronze dore and porcelain clock

About the Item

This clock was made in France during the period when science and Astrology were being explored and brought to the attention of the Populace. The putto that sits at the upper portion is holding the globe Of the world and to the left is his telescope. The bronze work is Exceptional and the gilding a soft gold hue. The porcelain mounts Are in great condition and they were beautifully painted with angels Holding horns and musical scrolls.
