French 19th Century Louis XVI Style Ormolu Clock Signed by Denière

About the Item

A stunning French 19th century Louis XVI st. ormolu clock signed by Denière. The clock is raised by elegant topie shaped feet below beautiful block rosettes. At the center is a richly chased scrolled foliate ormolu mount in a striking satin and burnished finish. The lovely enameled clock face displays fine hand painted swaging floral garlands and pierced hands. The case is decorated with striking scrolled elements which lead up each side and also display richly chased swaging floral garlands with intricately detailed leaves and berries. Above is an exceptional lidded urn above a tied ribbon and swaging berried garlands. All original gilt throughout.
