French Four Glass Mantel Clock

About the Item

French four glass mantel clock French four glass mantel clock with large bevelled glass panels housed in a patinated bronze case with gilded Acanthus leaf decoration standing on outswept decorated ormolu feet with floral decoration to the base. Enamel dial with Arabic numerals supported by a gilded finely decorated bezel with engine turning to the dial centre. Original ‘blued’ steel hands and gilded starburst pendulum. Eight day French movement with anchor escapement striking the hours and halves on a coiled gong numbered 90321, C.1880.
