French Sevres, Louis XVI Style Clock Set, 1880

About the Item

A very good quality late 19th century French Sevres style porcelain and gilded ormolu clock garniture. Having a pair of cherubs either side of the clock and central urn, classical hand painted scenes to the turquoise porcelain plaques, the clock having an eight day duration, striking on the hour and half hour. Inset porcelain plaques to the base on scrolling ormolu feet. The pair of lidded matched urns. white reeded boarders with inset romantic hand painted scenes, fluted bases, raised on out swept foliate feet.
