Large Sevres Porcelain & Bronze Dore 3 Piece Clock Garniture Set
About the Item
This superb quality Sevres style porcelain and ormolu clock garniture consists of three vases, one of which has been mounted with an exquisite jewelled clock dial. This set comprises a central vase, which has been fitted with a clock, and a pair of flanking vases. The central clock is parcel-gilt, or partially gilded, and features two central cartouches. One of these is painted with scenes of lady to the front, and painted with river bank scenes to the reverse All the pieces feature masked Rams head ormolu twin handles, and a central gilt dial. The lid of the vase is surmounted with an ormolu Bust. The pair of flanking vases are similarly decorated but, with similar painted cartouches of ladies and boys and riverbank scenes, but with ormolu pineapple finials on the lids.
