Liberty launched its Cyrnic ( silver) range in 1899 followed by it’s Tudric range in 1902. They invested in the Birmingham firm of WH Haseler ( using the Solkets mark) Haseler reportedly manufactured all pewter ware for Liberty until 1926. Not only using the ‘Solkets’ mark but others including ‘English pewter’. The Tudric range used innovative designs by designers including David Veasey and Archibald Knox.
Archibald Knox (1864-1933) was born on the Isle of Man to Scottish parents. By 1899 he was designing for Liberty & Co on their Cymric (silver) range and the Tudric range ( introduced in 1902.
