Mid-century Carved "Poppo" Animated Bedside Manual Wind Alarm by Tezuka Clock

About the Item

Rare Mid-century animated "Poppo" carved wood figural dog bedside alarm clock by the Tezuka Clock Company in Japan with moving eyes that shift with the movements of the clock hands. This extraordinary piece features a carved wooden case shaped like a dog, paired with a brass mechanical wind-up movement that sets and winds from the rear. As the clock ticks, the dog's eyes charmingly move back and forth, adding playful animation to its functionality. In good condition, as shown in the photos. Messurments: 6" Tall X 3.5" Wide X 2.5" Deeep Japan, 1950
