A Napoleon III Gilt and Patinated Bronze Three Pieces Figural Clock Garniture. By Charpentier & Cie., Paris. Comprising a mantle clock modelled with playful cherubs with white enamel dial signed ‘Charpentier & Cie, Bronzier, 8, Rue Charlot, Paris’ and signed eight-day striking movement. The candelabra modelled en suite with cherubs carrying seven-light floral sprays in baskets. Dimensions Height of Clock: 57 cm / 22 inches ; Width of Clock: 46 cm / 18 inches Depth of Clock: 32 cm /13 inches Height of Candelabra: 90 cm / 35 inches France, Circa 1860.
