Tiffany & Co. White Marble Mantle Clock

About the Item

This magnificent vintage late 19th century mantle clock was made for Tiffany & Co. The oversize white Italian marble mantle clock case is decorated with detailed hand painted Sevres porcelain plaques. These framed plaques depict romantic scenes of 19th century costumed characters in garden settings. The clock features an outside escape movement behind a hinged and framed glass door. The white porcelain face reads "Tiffany & Co., New York". There is a key wind movement and a French bell. The back of the movement is stamped "A.Brocot & Delettrez - Paris". There is a number 8298. The clock is complete and runs, but will require a cleaning/service to keep time. Measures: 15 1/8" tall x 16 1/2" wide x 6" deep.

Tis stunning vintage 19th century French Empire white marble mantel (fireplace) clock was made for Tiffany & Co. The clock has a lyre shape body accented with doré' bronze sculpted embellishments of the period. The top of the clock features a radiating sun burst disc with the face of the North wind.
